GSMA hosts MWC25 Doha with nearly 9,500 attendees showcasing 5G connectivity developments
MWC25 Doha, organized with the State of Qatar's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, brought together active participants over two days for discussions focusing on digital transformation and connectivity advancements.
The event included nearly 9,500 unique attendees from 110 countries, featuring a range of business activities, keynote sessions, and exhibitions. Approximately 20% of participants held C-suite positions, and 41% were director level or higher, with 61% representing industries related to the mobile ecosystem. The inaugural GSMA Ministerial Programme attracted delegations from 49 countries and over 10 intergovernmental organizations.
Technical demonstrations included a remotely operated vehicle driven 4,300 kilometers from Doha to Tallinn using 5G Standalone (SA) technology, illustrating long-distance mobility control capabilities. Additionally, e-sports racing utilized 5G-SA networks to demonstrate low latency and network intelligence applications in entertainment and gaming.
The event also featured nearly 300 speakers, over 250 exhibitors and sponsors, and a startup segment with more than 100 global and regional companies, some incubated by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Over 30 partnership agreements and announcements were made during the conference.

The GSMA announced that after concluding MWC25 Doha, the series will continue with MWC26 Barcelona scheduled for March 2026, with plans to continue engaging the Middle East and North Africa digital ecosystem in upcoming events.
