Fujitsu Limited launches AI solution for supply chain resilience

Fujitsu Limited has introduced a new solution utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) agents aimed at facilitating rapid impact analysis in global supply chains. This initiative is incorporated into the Fujitsu Data Intelligence Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) (DI PaaS) and is designed to bolster supply chain resilience in the face of various disruptions.

The launch of this solution addresses growing uncertainties for businesses stemming from geopolitical risks, natural disasters, and fluctuating markets. Notably, the manufacturing sector, which relies heavily on intricate global supply chains, faces amplified risks that may disrupt transportation and production, thereby necessitating enhanced continuity planning.

Among the solution's features is the capacity to swiftly analyze profit implications from market shifts, reducing analysis time from weeks to days. It includes three key functionalities: a Profit and Cost Structure Analysis for identifying supply chain risks; a Strategic Pricing Simulator to optimize pricing strategies according to demand; and an Operational Change Simulator for evaluating alternative sourcing and logistics options.
