CISA adds OpenPLC ScadaBR vulnerability to KEV catalog
CISA has added OpenPLC ScadaBR's unrestricted file upload vulnerability to the Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) catalog following evidence of active exploitation.
The catalog entry is CVE-2021-26828, listed as OpenPLC ScadaBR Unrestricted Upload of File with Dangerous Type Vulnerability.
This vulnerability type is a frequent attack vector for malicious cyber actors and poses risks to the federal enterprise.
Binding Operational Directive (BOD) 22-01 established the KEV Catalog as a living list of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) that carry risk to the federal enterprise and requires Federal Civilian Executive Branch agencies to remediate identified vulnerabilities by the due date to protect FCEB networks against active threats; see the BOD 22-01 Fact Sheet for more information.
Although BOD 22-01 applies only to Federal Civilian Executive Branch agencies, CISA urges all organizations to prioritize timely remediation of KEV Catalog items within their vulnerability management practices, and CISA will continue to add vulnerabilities that meet the specified criteria to the catalog.
