AMBA acquires Pacific Group Agencies, enhancing California presence

AMBA has acquired Pacific Group Agencies, Inc. (PGA), an insurance brokerage located in Santa Clarita, California. This acquisition allows AMBA to extend its reach within the California public employee segment, accessing over 280,000 potential members, primarily retired public employees.

PGA offers a range of insurance products including dental, vision, life, and prepaid legal, as well as health and travel benefits. The integration aims to strengthen AMBA’s service offerings to public sector employees.

AMBA’s CEO, Nick Taylor, remarked on the acquisition, stating, “The acquisition of PGA significantly strengthens AMBA’s presence in the California public employee market. PGA’s mission and client base are a natural extension of AMBA’s core business.” Taylor added that new sales channels would be introduced to enhance service delivery.

PGA founder Stephen Pettee emphasized the mutual benefits of the partnership, indicating that “AMBA is the ideal partner to take PGA's legacy to the next level. This collaboration expands our capabilities and enhances the value we bring to our members and associations.”

This acquisition follows AMBA’s previous integrations of brokerages, including Professional Insurance Services, Inc. in Pennsylvania and EJS Insurance Services in Auburn, California, indicating a continued commitment to providing customized insurance solutions to public servants nationwide.
