Actelis Networks secures an order for GigaLine solutions from US telecom carrier
Actelis Networks, Inc. has announced it received an order from a major U.S. telecommunications carrier for its GigaLine solutions, which provide gigabit connectivity in multi-dwelling units (MDUs). This marks the company's first partnership with a significant telecom provider, which aims to enhance service offerings without requiring new fiber installations in existing buildings.
The GigaLine 800 and GigaLine 900 products deliver fiber-grade connectivity, enabling broadband service providers to efficiently extend high-speed internet access to various residential buildings, including apartments and condominiums. This deployment is expected to decrease both installation costs and the time required to provide services.
Tuvia Barlev, Chairman and CEO of Actelis, commented, “This initial order represents an important milestone in our MDU market strategy.” He acknowledged that traditional methods for delivering high-speed connectivity to MDUs often involve high costs and delays related to construction. Actelis' GigaLine technology aims to mitigate these issues by offering a more efficient solution for telecommunications carriers.
The order was made possible through collaboration with Netceed, a provider of telecommunications infrastructure solutions, which seeks to enhance connectivity options for service providers throughout the United States.
Barlev indicated that this order could open up extensive deployment opportunities across the carrier's service area, assisting telecom providers in meeting the connectivity demands of MDUs while keeping costs manageable.
The MDU sector offers considerable growth potential, with approximately 23 million apartment buildings in the U.S. The GigaLine 900 stands out for its power efficiency, consuming less than 5 watts, presenting carriers with a cost-effective and environmentally considerate option for servicing this market.
